Keziah Jones

So what do you know about a country called "Nigeria"? I guess if you are a Nigeria reading this post, you shouldn't feel obliged to answer :-). As for the rest, I'm sure your answers will all contain words like: Oil, Africa, over population, Naira, etc. But when you tell me "Nigeria" I think "Keaziah Jones".

That's right Keziah jones along Fela Kuti (about him a bit later) are one of the most influential Africans I know, music wise. Still doesn't ring a bell, this is Keziah for you:

Looks cool. huh? Well he sounds even better. I came to know him when I was living in Cameroon and had access to one good channel called "Canal +" he was having a show performance of a song called "Beautiful Emily". A thing I want to say about this song is that whoever this Emily was, she sure must be really beautiful to inspire a song like that. I mean just take a look at this:

As you can see this guy is absolutely amazing and he's once more one of those artists whose music gets to you in one way or the other. And although, as you noticed I don't mind the occasional "Electronic - music" treat, I always enjoy the opportunity to have a rendez - vous with some genuine acoustic soul. And to be perfectly clear on this, Keziah Jones delivers in this genre completely. Very sad that no chance is given to young talents such as Keziah, to be more exposed be it in the media or the web. Unfortunately, nowadays if you are a "pseudo musician" who has lines like "I wanna squeeze your this, I wanna hold your that" you probably got high chances of being the next star. And this if you ask me it's a pity. So wanna enjoy music as an art form start now. Get your Keziah Jones albums and enjoy. I will recommend starting with the album "Rhythm Is Love". I mean just have a look at this song isn't it great?
